Recipe: Honey oat and nut energy bars

When you need energy for your body and mind, these valuable and healthy homemade energy bars will help.

Servings: 8-10 pieces

Prep time: 25 minutes

Ingredients:

  • ½ cup peanut butter
  • 1 cup honey
  • ½ cup outmeal
  • ¼ cup sunflower seeds
  • ¼ cup raisins
  • 1 teaspoon flax seeds

In a small saucepan, mix peanut butter and honey over low heat until well blended, about 3 minutes. Remove from heat and add the oatmeal, sunflower seeds, raisins, and flax seeds until blended well. Scoop and spread about ½ thick on a flat baking sheet. Refrigerate for 30 minutes. Slice into triangles before serving.
